Grab your Lederhosen and Dirndls! Vail Oktoberfest returns this September for two weekends in Vail.

Time-honored traditions like keg bowling, bratwurst eating competitions, and stein lifting competitions are making a comeback. Both weekends are sure to be full of Bavarian music, dance, beer, pretzels, brats, and strudel. Prost!

Colorado’s top breweries and beer-enthusiasts come together at the Vail Craft Beer Classic for the most adventurous beer-tasting event of the summer. Take in the scenic mountain views while you immerse yourself in hop-culture. From stouts and lagers, to pale ales and ciders, taste the best selection of craft brews from the state and around the world. Over 300 different beer, wine, and spirit samples will be showcased at the grand tasting events. Gluten free options are available with refreshing seltzers, bold ciders, and cocktails. You’ll get to meet and greet with the breweries during the craft beer tour of a lifetime. Live music and entertainment add to the free-spirited, fun atmosphere of the festival. The full lineup of headlining bands and performers will be announced a month-prior to the event. Liken your weekend to a pint glass - fill it up! There are several a-la-carte events at the Vail Craft Beer Classic to fill your weekend to the brim. Paired beer dinners and lunches take place at renowned restaurants in the Vail Village. These paired meals have been specially curated by chefs and beer sommeliers to allow you to expand your palette and knowledge of craft beers while enjoying the best plates in town. Like the classic itself, several seminars combine a love of nature and brews. Past nature-filled events include “Ales & Anglers”, a fly-fishing excursion with the owners of Crooked Stave Brewing and “Hair of the Dog Hike”, a wild flower-filled hike in the Gore Range with brewers, followed by a paired lunch in town. Learn new trends in the beer industry and take a crash course on how to pair beer and add beer to recipes in the kitchen. Spend the entire weekend in Vail with discounted rates from participating hotels in the Vail Valley. Tickets for this annual event go on sale in mid-March.
